Hi my name is Liz I am a single mom of 2 a 14 year old boy and 3yr old girl. I am not one to ask for help and feel strange but my I am at a dead end and really in a desperate situation. Let me make a long story short as possiblible. srp electric shut of our ustilities because of a 2,600 utility billl my dad used up the past 41/2 months I have not been livi ng theyre I moved in with my uncle because my dad has a bad gambling addiction and has not been paying mortgage or any other bill for that matter 2006 the house was paid off 2007 he took out 130,000 line of credit blew through every penny in 3 months lost his job vehicles boat i watched my inheritance fly out the window and my dad turn into a stranger lied using drugs illiegal activities i begged him to get help with no luck I paid him 550.00 a month and he took that to the slots too. I tryed to not give him the money but he became irate and told me it was his home and he would take care of it my income is only about 1,000 a month and he would try and suck up every penny finally i had to leave. I moved to my uncles briefly then to a apt t hat is 600 a month .WELL END OF May my dad gets ahold of me tells me he is splitting town he was busted burglarizing a pawn shop some girl bonded him out and he was facing 6 years prison.. He said the house was going up for auction june. I go over to the to the house where he left his 3 dogs as well and contacted the bank I am authaurized on deed of trust. they set me up with a negotiator i was honest with them about my dad and we made a deal for payments of 500 monthly and they also settled for 50,000 rather then the 130,000 my dad owed. i move theyre pay the 500 meanwhile utilities are still on i figure i would havedads shut off and put them in my name.One week later electr. shut off I contact srp 2,600 they say my dad has been stealing utilities and they not put it in my name and they want 1,000 to restore service. I was forced to leave because of the heat the poor dogs i bring food and water daily well a few days ago i go theyre and some one came through the doggy door and cut off every cord in the house tvs iron dryer ect. and get this took the electric panel i had been staying in touch with srp through omsbudsman and resourcesto try and get the 1,000 to move back exspecially since i paid mortgage i was not able to pay months rent here well srp sends out a inspector upon my request and they they are requiring an upgraded new panel i have to pay for... i have the 1000 worked out to restore service but no money to hire an ele ctricion orpay for a new panel.. The heat is blazing the poor dogs over theyre have shade anfer servicd cold water i get from the neighbors but i have got to get theyre like very soon the mngr here is demanding money i have to get this worked out i can afford a small monthly payment to an electrician to install a panel for upfront service and for a panel please if any one knows where to get this help or can off er services my family would be so grateful thank you for your time liznkids
